'Company to Classroom: How SnoPlanks gave their business to students'
An Education Panel by Oregon Outdoor Alliance

In 2023 James Nicol, one of SnoPlanks co-founders, had the idea to give their company away to the students of Oregon State University and turn it into a classroom which allows them to experience running a business from the ground up right from their campus. This bold undertaking is the first of its kind and the OSU-Cascades campus is already making big moves in operating this student-run business. 

Headed by Instructor Todd Laurence, the students of this new program will learn how to run a business, design products, manage supply-chain and more.

We are excited to host an informative speaker panel with James Nicol of SnoPlanks, Todd Laurence of OSU-C and some of their students currently in the program on the story behind why a brand would take this avenue and how it will foster growth for the future.
